Free Monthly Workshop Series for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners
SANTA BARBARA, CA—The Santa Barbara Enterprise Center (SBEC) is offering a free public workshop by subject matter experts on various topics of importance and interest on the first Wednesday of each month. The workshop is presented by Santa Barbara SCORE (Counselors to America’s Small Business), the Small Business Entrepreneurship Center, Green2Gold, Inventor’s Workshop International, and SBTech Ventures (SBTV), and is sponsored by Bermant Development Company (BDC).
The upcoming meeting on March 4th features Amber Wallace of Dowitcher Designs, who will present special segments on “Developing a Small Business Website” and “Tips and Tricks to Increase Web Traffic and Conversions.” The workshop is free and open to the public from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Following the presentation is a regional chapter meeting of members of Inventors Workshop International and Green2Gold from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
The workshop will be held in the Olive Mill Conference Room at the SBTech Ventures, located at 402 E. Gutierrez St. in Santa Barbara. Parking is available on Olive St., Laguna St., Gutierrez St., and in the rear lot of the SBTV. Entry to the event is through the rear of the SBTV building. No RSVP is needed. The Small Business Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC) is a non-profit community organization that provides an umbrella for the Santa Maria Enterprise Center and the Santa Barbara Enterprise Center, as well as the Green2Gold environmental and renewable energy technology project—all new, enterprise, non-profit, mixed-tech/mixed-use incubators. The SBEC also hosts the Santa Barbara chapter of SCORE, which offers free, confidential counseling and has office hours each Wednesday from 8:30 to 11:30 at the SBEC location. The SBEC conducts, in partnership with several other institutions, monthly workshops in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Ventura County.
